Yamaha Motor Company Ltd conducted The Global Suppliers Conference 2017 in Japan for the fifth consecutive year to emphasize on creating manufacturing and design innovations by continuously developing new technologies for its products in order to bring down the cost and improve the productivity.

The Global Suppliers Conference for the fifth consecutive year in Japan 2017.

 

Yamaha Motor Company Ltd conducted The Global Suppliers Conference 2017 in Japan for the fifth consecutive year to emphasize on creating manufacturing and design innovations by continuously developing new technologies for its products in order to bring down the cost and improve the productivity.

The conference had 220 suppliers from 14 countries attended the conference including 77 suppliers from India, China, Vietnam, Indonesia, Taiwan, USA, Europe, Thailand and Malaysia.

21 suppliers which included 12 from India, 6 from China and 3 from Taiwan got an unique opportunity to exhibit and share their technology with YMC Research & Development and Engineering Team and interact regarding developments and benchmarking being created by suppliers.

During the conference Mr. Toru Yamaguchi, Head of Purchase and Deputy MD - India Yamaha Motor Pvt. Ltd. said, “Through this conference, we aim to develop a better communication and partnership with our suppliers. Yamaha’s policy has been to work as one team and develop the business together with the suppliers. We have to keep challenging ourselves in all the areas in order to increase market share, achieve higher competitiveness in model development and enhance better capability in manufacturing. We have huge expectation from the Indian suppliers for global Yamaha business.”

Indian Supplier M/S Endurance Technologies Pvt Ltd was honoured with the Global TVP (Theoretical Value Production) award for improvements to minimize or eliminate non value and semi value operations during the production thereby increasing their productivity and efficiency without additional investments. There were 5 awardees at the Global level.

Other supplier participated in the conference included FIEM Industries Limited, Endurance Technologies Private Limited, Roop Polymers Limited, NRB Bearings Limited, Sansera Engineering Private Limited, ADVIK Hi-Tech Private Limited, Minda Stoneridge Instruments Ltd, Minda Industries limited, Johnson Matthey, Emitec emission Control, Minda corporation, L.G. Balakrishnan, Shriram Pistons and Rings, SKF India Ltd, Hemson Engineers, Modern Automotives Ltd , Indian Fine Blanks Limited, Minda Sai Ltd and Gabriel India Ltd.
