The new deal begins in 2017, with Cooper continuing supply to the championship following a highly successful association with World RX since its inception in 2014. Cooper has been selected by the FIA as part of a tender process launched in April 2016.

The FIA Off-Road Commission recommended Cooper to the World Motor Sport Council based on its strong technical understanding and history of rallycross tyre requirements, as well as its commitment to the promotion of the championship.
Sarah McRoberts, marketing communications manager for Cooper Tire Europe, said, “We are extremely proud to be continuing our association with the FIA World Rallycross Championship. Our partnership with the championship over the last three years, since it began, has given us the perfect platform to be able to demonstrate and promote Cooper’s unrivalled off-road expertise, producing tyres which can transition effortlessly across all surfaces found on rallycross circuits.”
