BMW Motorrad partners Cooltra to offer rental electric maxi scooter in Barcelona

The electric maxi scooter has a range of up to 100km and will come with insurance and helmet.

BMW Motorrad partners Cooltra to offer rental electric maxi scooter in Barcelona

BMW Motorrad the two-wheeler division of luxury carmaker BMW, has announced a pilot project with ride sharing provider Cooltra in Barcelona to offer electric maxi scooter BMW C evolution, for inner-city travel in the country. The pilot initiative is supported bye BMW Motorrad, BMW Motorrad Spain and Alphabet Spain.

Under the partnership using the Cooltra Prime app customer can find, book and unlock the BMW C evolution. The scooters offer a range of up to 100km and come complete with insurance and helmet.

Initially, the BMW C evolution will be available at four SABA car parks in Barcelona and at the airport. Customers can pick up their scooter at one of these car parks and return it to any of the designated stations. The plan in future is to expand this mobility service to include other important areas of Barcelona in order to ensure good connections to Josep Tarradellas Barcelona El Prat airport as well as other key locations such as Sabadell, Terrassa and Sant Cugat.
