Beijing Motor Show: New DS 4S revealed
Latest car from DS will only be available in China, and joins a growing range of cars from the premium French brand.
The all-new DS 4S, which will be exclusive to the Chinese market, has been revealed at the Beijing Motor Show. The DS 4S is the fourth model to join the DS range in China, which also includes the DS 5, DS 5LS and DS 6.
The DS 4S will be offered with two 1.6-litre petrol engines, the THP 160 and the more powerful THP 200, which produces 200bhp. A third engine, the 1.2-litre Puretech 130, also makes its debut for the Chinese market. DS will also offer its latest EAT6 automatic gearbox with all three engines.
Inside, the DS 4S has a handcrafted leather dashboard and a new centre console and steering wheel.
DS says the all-new 4S is longer than the UK's DS 4 to cater to the needs of the Chinese market.
At the Geneva motor show back in March, DS revealed its futuristic E-Tense electric supercar concept which could potentially reach production between 2019 and 2021. DS says the E-Tense is capable of a 220-mile/352km range and a top speed of 155mph/250kph.
